Chef Shuffle at EatBar/Tallula; Proof Cheers to Five Years

CLARENDON—Tom Sietsema has the scoop that Nate Waugaman has taken over the executive chef gig over at adjoining restaurants Tallula and EatBar. The former Addie's chef has already begun making over the menus for both restaurants, including more bacon at EatBar and lower prices at Tallula. [WaPo]

CHINATOWN—Starting today, Proof celebrates its fifth anniversary by offering deals — as much as 40 percent off — on fancypants wines from 2007, the year the restaurant opened. Per a press release, the 2007 Williams Selyem Hawk Hill Vineyard Chardonnay and Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select will each be available by the bottle for $108 and $270, respectively, while the 2007 Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape and 2007 Nicolas Joly Savennieres Coulee de Serrant will be available by the glass.
