In the great tradition of Yelpers reviewing restaurants before they even open, two-day-old Crios Modern Mexican has already earned itself a two-star slam from Yelper Bethany S., in part based on some appetizers from a preview in which "nothing stood out as excellent," but maybe mostly because she was turned away from a soft-opening party on the grounds that the restaurant wasn't open to the public yet:

Had there been a sign, a mention of an opening date on their website, or locked doors it would have been fine. But to turn someone away when you've got your doors wide open, a bar packed with people, and several tables full? Well, it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Of course, giving Crios just one star under these circumstances would be totally jerky, right? So two stars it is. Meanwhile, Yelper Jacob S. attempts to cancel out the review by rating Crios at four stars based on a "strong sense of social justice and extreme allegiance to Yelp" — but, nope, this one's definitely not based on a legitimate visit to Crios either.

Finally, a third review is based on Crios' soft opening, too, so that leaves it up to Maria C. to be the sole Yelp authority on the Mexican newcomer. Take it away, Maria: "As the first Yelper who has actually eaten at this restaurant while it was open to the public, I have the great honor of giving this restaurant its first true rating: 3.5 stars."
