Here's the latest news in the Back Alley Waffles saga: In an effort to pay back the employees who were threatening to file claims against him for unpaid wages, owner Craig Nelsen held an auction of restaurant equipment this past weekend. But apparently, short notice meant not too many people knew about it. DCist notes it was a little more like a garage sale and Nelsen confirms: "We didn't raise much money so we'll have to try again."
