GEORGETOWN—On Sunday afternoon, Bourbon Steak hosts its third annual tribute to all things pork, the Porc Out. Not only will there be a pig roast on site, but also dishes such as slow-roasted pork shoulder tacos, pork sausages from Red Apron and Thai-style pork ribs. Plus, sure, some non-pork sides, desserts and Port City beer. Tickets are $50 for food, $60 for food and drink and $40 for kids for the event that lasts from noon to 3 p.m. [EaterWire]
EVERYWHERE—Looking for some unusual deep-fried foods? The Going Out Gurus have rounded up some of DC's finest county fair-type foods, including deep-fried Snickers, cotton candy two ways and a deep-fried bacon-wrapped peanut butter cup. [WaPo]
