Cashion's New Bar Menu; Maki & Sake Lessons at Sushiko

ADAMS MORGAN—The Washingtonian brings the news that neighborhood staple Cashion's Eat Place is unleashing a bar food menu on Thursday. The new menu will be available during dinner hours and includes dishes such as a pork burger with Gruyere, chicken liver mousse, salt-roasted potatoes and more. All are less than $10, but the restaurant plans to offer each at a $2 discount on Friday. [Washingtonian]

CHEVY CHASE—The Chevy Chase location of Sushiko hosts a Maki & Sake 101 event tomorrow evening in which owner Daisuke Utagawa will offer a master class in sushi making. The event begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are available online for $70 per person. [EaterWire]

EVENT WIRE—The 10th annual Paella Festival gets underway today at local Jaleo locations. From now through September 30, each Jaleo location will have a rotating selection of paellas, including a paella of black noodles with octopus, another with Iberico ribs and cauliflower and more. Jaleo Bethesda will also host cooking classes and the group has created some new cocktails to go along with the paella. [EaterWire]
