The team from Dupont's Maddy's has long been planning an expansion downtown with Maddy's Tap Room and it's finally happening. The City Paper reveals details on the spinoff, set to soft-open on October 1: The food is going to be "Texican," which is somehow different from Tex-Mex because there aren't any burritos? Instead, chef Carlos Gonzalez is planning dishes such as a "chorizo burger with Oaxaca cheese" and the "Best Damn Hot Dog Ever." [WCP]
