BLT Steak's New Cocktail Menu; Snail of Approval Awards

DOWNTOWN—Now with bartender Steve Oshana aboard, BLT Steak debuts a brand new cocktail menu tonight. The Washingtonian shares the details, including a barrel-aged Brooklyn cocktail, some hot drinks for cold months and much more. [Washingtonian]

AWARDS SEASON—This year's Snail of Approval awards list has been released "recognizing the local eateries and artisans that provide us with quality, authentic, and sustainable food and drink." Among the newer restaurants included on the list: Maple, Stachowski Market and Deli, The Pig, Three Little Pigs and, of course, many other honorees. [Slow Food DC]

PARK VIEW—Prince of Petworth brings word that Rita's carryout is up for sale on Georgia Avenue. The Caribbean carryout will remain open until it has a new buyer, though. [PoP]
