The Law

A former Clyde Restaurant Group employee pleaded guilty today to embezzling from the restaurant group over a decade in which she served as corporate controller. Having worked for Clyde's since 1982, Nancy Preston "diverted money from Clyde's from 2001 to 2011 to pay for her personal credit card, buy personal goods, and pay for other expenses totaling $647,547." She covered the whole thing up with altered invoices and fabricated emails, but now faces up to 20 years in prison. [The Examiner]
