The Games Have Begun at the Board Room

Status: Certified open

The Board Room finally launched in Dupont Circle last night — this after more than a week of inspection delays that have caused the owners to declare "blood license" as the new term for liquor license. But with all that behind them now, it's time to explore the bar's extensive supply of vintage board games and modern favorites such as Sorry, Risk and Mousetrap. Not to mention '80s-era arcade games and a design scheme that brings board games characters to life.

There's not a lot of food available here, just bar snacks that are a throwback to your boardgame-playing youth. But the Board Room has 21 beers on tap and will be infusing bourbon and vodka in the days to come. Per the bar's Twitter feed, they open again today at 4 p.m. with a full bar.
