Trouble at Marvelous Market; Craft Beer and Food Trucks

THE SHUTTER—ARLnow reports that Marvelous Market has shuttered in Ballston, the last of the chain's Virginia locations. A few other locations have closed recently, too, and ARLnow further notes that the Eastern Market location has severed ties with the parent company and is now operating under the name The Silver Spork. NAVY YARD—This Saturday marks the return of LivingSocial's craft beer and food truck festival, hitting the Half Street Fairgrounds both weekend days from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday is sold out, but tickets for Sunday are still available for a crack at tastings from more than 50 breweries and food from the likes of the Bayou Bros, Chupacabra and DC Empanadas.
