It is our sad duty to announce to DC readers today that Amy McKeever, the founding editor of Eater DC and its spiritual guide for the past 18 months, is moving on. Luckily, she's moving within the Eater Universe and will soon transition into the newly created role of Senior Editor over at the mother ship Eater National, trading her obsessions with local openings, closings, and Mike Isabella for a larger purview of the entire national restaurant scene. The new job becomes effective October 1.
As McKeever moves to make her mark on the national food world, we're looking for some fresh blood to take over the reins here at Eater DC. Which brings us to this: Are you obsessed with restaurants, chefs, news, gossip, and all the fun drama that goes hand in hand with the high stakes Washington, DC restaurant world? Would you like a full time job with competitive salary, health care, and a matched (!) 401[k]? Think you'd be the perfect Editor here at Eater?
If so, write us a paragraph about yourself (omitting stories of childhood food memories svp) and a paragraph about why you think you're right for the job and email it to jobs@eater.com with the subject line "Eater D.C. Editor." If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, or Twitter, include links to those as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
