Today brings word of a couple staff changes at The Farm, the company that runs Founding Farmers and Farmers Fishers Bakers. First up is the appointment of Ashley Soto to the job of executive pastry chef at the new Farmers Fishers Bakers. Soto used to work for Black Restaurant Group, specifically at Pearl Dive. She started in the job Jan. 7, according to a spokeswoman. Part of her role will be overseeing pastries offered at the new FirstBake bakery and coffee shop within the restaurant, which opened this week.
Meanwhile, Soto replaces Carrie Jenkins, who briefly managed the pastry program at Farmers Fishers Bakers. Jenkins now has been promoted to executive pastry chef for the flagship Founding Farmers location. The company promises new additions to the pastry menus at both locations, but didn't offer any specific items.
