Ripple is losing its chef this spring. Chef Logan Cox has decided to move to Seattle with his girlfriend, with stops cross country along the way. The chef doesn't have a specific restaurant job lined up yet, according to Tom Sietsema, who broke the news today. He plans to line up a few cooking gigs in various parts of the country, including Alaska, before settling in Seattle.
Cox is leaving the gig in mid-March. Owner Roger Marmet told the Post he plans to undergo a national search to find a new chef for Ripple, a neighborhood restaurant in Cleveland Park with a small menu and a local focus.
Ripple really found its footing once Cox came on board in 2011. He was nominated for a Rammy last year for Rising Culinary Star, and cooked at the James Beard House last summer.
