Wildcraft Soda Raises Startup Funds, Will Hit Restaurants

Looks like local food company Wildcraft soda has raised funds beyond the start-up money it was seeking to get off the ground locally. The company's Kickstarter campaign ends this week, and they've already raised $3,566, well beyond the $2,500 goal.

The company was founded by Nathan Zeender, who is also behind the upcoming Right Proper Brewing Company, a DC-based brewery opening later in the year. His soda venture is aiming to produce local soda products using Whole botanicals, herbs, and spices. The sodas are only going to be available by draft at local area restaurants. Later, they will set up a draft location at a DC farmer's market, according to the profile page. Eater has reached out to find out which restaurants will initially carry the product.
