Indian fusion restaurant Chakra Cafe has closed in Alexandria. From the restaurant's Facebook page:
We are sorry to announce that Chakra Cafe is now closed. Thanks to all of you for your support and patronage. It has been wonderful to serve you and such fun to meet you all. We are sorry to go but will always cherish the memories.
The Old Town restaurant opened in 2011. Owner Monisha Chakrobortty's restaurant served a variety of teas, as well as dishes such as Bengali samosas and Indian-inspired flatbreads. The closure was first reported by Patch.
