NoMa Gets A New Indian Option in Thaaja, Open Today

New NoMa restaurant Thaaja Indian Cuisine has opened its doors at 1335 2nd St. NE. Owner Shailesh Kumar tells Eater that the restaurant's soft opening is today, and a grand opening party is being planned for sometime next week.

The restaurant's menu is visible here. Like many of the Chipotle-reminiscent concepts out there, you choose from various proteins, bases and sauces to customize your own dish. Drink specials start at the location today at 4 p.m. The fast casual Indian restaurant hopes to expand, provided the first location takes off.
