1) Georgetown: Farmers Fishers Bakers is opening FirstBake, its coffee shop and bakery within the restaurant, next week. It will carry Intelligentsia coffee, other hot drinks, fresh juices, breads and pastries baked on site. There's also free wi-fi. Status: Opening Jan. 8. 3000 K Street NW; website.
2) Arlington: Frame that Van Gogh print, have some stroganoff. ARLNOW reports that Rus Uz, the restaurant located connected to a Ballston framing shop, is quietly open, serving cuisine from Russia and Uzbekistan. 3) Arlington: Also from ARLNOW: The Menchie's frozen yogurt location in Penrose Square is now open, which is Arlington's first from the chain. A grand opening party is scheduled for Jan. 12. Status: Certified open. 2405 Columbia Pike; website.
4) Woodley Park: PoPville notes that Cafe Paradiso has briefly closed for renovations, and will reopen in the same location with a new look tomorrow. Status: Re-opening tomorrow. 2649 Connecticut Ave, NW; website.
