WaPo Management Axes All We Can Eat Food Blog

Yikes. Apparently with new management at the Post comes disappointing news for food section readers. The Washington Post is shutting down its All We Can Eat Blog, which has been the source of restaurant news, recipes, "Top Chef" recaps and more. From Tim Carman, the primary author:

As The Post looks for innovative ways to compete in a media landscape that's so fragmented and competitive, management has decided that throwing 1,000 blogs at the problem isn't the solution. We need to focus our energies on a smaller number of blogs that draw the majority of the traffic, such as the Going Out Gurus, where I will continue to add my voice.

So that means there at least will be some food coverage on the GoG blog (which featured restaurant related content before the change anyway), as well as some online updates on the Food Section homepage. And Carman tells Eater he's not going anywhere, and will be starting up a new weekly feature soon for WaPo (but the details are under wraps).
