Gristle's New Pop-Up; Mathieson Leaves BLT Steak

DOWNTOWN— Citing an anonymous source, Tim Carman reports that chef Jon Mathieson has left BLT Steak. The restaurant has not responded to any requests for comment from Eater on the matter. The former Inox chef's next plans are unknown at this time. [WaPo]

VARIOUS LOCATIONS— The Crumbs chain of cupcake bakeries is creating cupcakes inspired by Girl Scout cookie flavors. That means they'll be available in such flavors as peanut butter cookie and caramel and coconut. The cupcakes hit the menu today. [EaterWire]

ALEXANDRIASociety Fair is replacing its Taco Tuesday night with Lobster Night. Each week at the wine bar, guests can get a three course meal, including a roasted lobster tail dish, for $45. [EaterWire]

PETWORTHGarret Fleming and his upcoming Gristle restaurant (which is still looking for a permanent home) are coming back to 3 Little Pigs for another pop-up: Marrow Brew n'Que.
