1) Ashburn: Burger 21's expansion plans are progressing. A rep sends word that an Ashburn location of the burger franchise will open in late November at the Loudoun Station development. The restaurant chain, owned by the Melting Pot franchise, will open an additional three locations in the area. Ray Patel, Joseph Yu, Bubuhai Patel and Nick Patel are the local owners. The restaurant offers burgers, shakes, hot dogs, chicken tenders and salads in a diner atmosphere. [PLYWOOD]
2) Woodbridge: Bonefish Grill is the next chain to open in the redone Potomac Mills outlet center. It's opening Nov. 11 and hiring 115 people, according to a media alert. [PLYWOOD]
3) Merrifield: It's been about a year since there's been any update on Cyclone Anaya's, the Tex-Mex chain with designs on the Mosaic District. But it appears things are moving along — this craigslist ad shows the restaurant is hiring and will open sometime this month. [POST-PLYWOOD]
4) Columbia Heights: PoPville shares news that Taqueria Habanero will open at 3710 14th St, NW, where a nail salon used to be. [PLYWOOD]
