Here's a Menu from Iron Gate from Decades Ago

Check out those prices. Staff from the upcoming Iron Gate Restaurant from Neighborhood Restaurant Group posted an old school menu from the restaurant of the same name on Facebook. The menu is courtesy of Nabih Saah, who managed the restaurant in the 60s and early 70s.

Menu items served at the former Iron Gate included breast of chicken baked in cream, a fruit cup supreme appetizer, a V-8 cocktail, home-baked ham with a pineapple ring and peach melba for dessert. A roast prime rib with au jus would set a diner back a whopping $3.75 — broiled strip steak was $4.50

Iron Gate will open later this fall under the direction of former Vermillion chef Tony Chittum, with an emphasis on Greek and Italian-inspired fare. Full menu details haven't been released, but it's clear there won't be any steaks in the under $5 range.
