Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

CLEVELAND PARK— Fall means Rhone whines at Ripple. The restaurant is launching a Fall of Rhone promotion, with a wine list that emphasizes the region and some French-inspired dishes to match, including an escargot and parsley fettucine and a duck cassoulet (try the lamb tartare with white truffle custard). STUNT FOODS— It's the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend, and the Going Out Guide has a roundup of five dishes runners can inhale afterwards, guilt-free, such as the peanut butter bacon burger at Ted's Bulletin. Eater's recent Gut Bombs roundup is also a handy guide. [GoG]

MT VERNON TRIANGLE— Ten chefs, including Mike Friedman of The Red Hen and Scot Harlan of Green Pig, are pairing up for "F*ck Forks", a benefit event raising money for cancer research. The event is $95 and has four mixologists mixing drinks as well. It's all happening tonight. [EaterWire]
