Splurge Dishes for Marathoners, Ripple's Fall of Rhone

CLEVELAND PARK— Fall means Rhone whines at Ripple. The restaurant is launching a Fall of Rhone promotion, with a wine list that emphasizes the region and some French-inspired dishes to match, including an escargot and parsley fettucine and a duck cassoulet (try the lamb tartare with white truffle custard). STUNT FOODS— It's the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend, and the Going Out Guide has a roundup of five dishes runners can inhale afterwards, guilt-free, such as the peanut butter bacon burger at Ted's Bulletin. Eater's recent Gut Bombs roundup is also a handy guide. [GoG]
