Cyclone Anaya's, the Texas transplant which has been bound for the Mosaic District development for some time now, is almost here. A rep brings word that the restaurant will open in Fairfax October 31.
Cyclone Anaya's features such dishes as lobster enchiladas, lump crabmeat nachos and carne asada. It's also known for strong cocktails like a Herradura magarita and the healthy-ish "guiltless mojitos". There will be a patio at the Mosaic District location (located near the Matchbox in the development).
Speaking of Matchbox, perhaps the bigger news is the fact that developer Edens announced today that Ted's Bulletin, the chain's sister restaurant, will open at Mosaic in 2014. Ted's, the home of homemade pop tarts and epic brunches, will join previously announced restaurants True Foods Kitchen and R.J. Cooper's Gypsy Soul next year (so sounds like the latter's opening is delayed as well).
