Of course Thomas Foolery was going to have fun with its special Cocktail Week drink. As bartender Ryan Karp explains, "The DC Eater Week Featured Cocktail is the "Trick-r-Eater" and can be graciously described as a Caramel Apple delight with an explosive candy surprise!"

Karp starts with a special glass (a short, clear rock glass also works) to show off all of the colors. He fills it 2/4 of the way with ice, and puts a little ice in the shaker. Into the shaker goes:

1 Shot of Tito's Vodka
-3/4 shot of Green Apple Puckers
-Equivalent of 1/5 shot of Butterscotch Schnapps

"Shake Shake Shake" it to cool and mix, Karp says. Then strain over ice and top with Canadian Ginger Ale. He then inserts a red or orange rock candy sticks, gives it a little stir, rips open a fresh pack of Pop Rocks when the drink is in front of the customer, and pours in about half a packet. Voila! Explosion. The drink is $10.
