1) Clarendon: ARLNOW has the scoop on Thaiger Asian Bistro, which will open where Fat Shorty's restaurant recently closed. That's at 3035 Clarendon Blvd. Clearly, given the name, the menu will have a Thai influence. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
2) Shaw: PopVille brings word that Korean chicken bar Kochix has replaced Lunch Yaki at 4th and Florida Avenue, NW. Permanent signage isn't up, but the restaurant appears to be operating. [POST-PLYWOOD]
3) Adams Morgan: There's a craigslist ad up right now seeking experienced bakers for Sugar Daddy's, a new bakery coming to Adams Morgan. The restaurant's web site shows cookies, cupcakes and more. [PLYWOOD]
