Dino, an Italian mainstay in Cleveland Park, is closing its doors. "We simply are not doing the kind of business necessary to justify keeping our doors open," said owner Dean Gold in an email blast this afternoon.
Gold is eying another "fabulous location" for the restaurant, but a lease has not been signed. An official closing date has not been set for Dino. Until it closes, the restaurant will be offering specials, and charging half-off any wine bottles priced over $150.
"In any case, Kay and I thank you for the fun times and we will let you know what's in our future," said Gold. The restaurant had been open for eight and a half years, with Gold doing the cooking for a good chunk of that time.
