Iron Gate, River Bend Bistro Both Opening

1) Dupont Circle: It's finally here. Iron Gate reopens tonight, with Neighborhood Restaurant Group's Tony Chittum at the helm. Here's a look at the design. The menu is Greek and Southern Italian-inspired, with an a la carte menu outdoors and a tasting menu inside. For the tasting menu, guests can pick from a four course or a six course option, with initial dishes like antipasti, charred octopus and Fields of Athenry lamb with beans and yogurt. 2) Alexandria: River Bend Bistro opened recently in the Hollin Hall Shopping Center. Chef Caroline Ross is putting together options like liverwurst sandwiches, warm spinach salad, sweetbreads with sherry and oyster sauce and more.
