Et Voila! has a new desserts man. Mark Courseille has taken on the position of pastry chef at the Palisades bistro.
The chef has worked at all three of Michel Richard's past D.C. restaurants, including Citronelle; before that, he was at the former La Paradou. His cooking is French influenced, so it's a fit for the European restaurant. Et Voila! guests will get their first introduction to his desserts during Thanksgiving, when the restaurant plans to offer several carryout desserts, including an Apple Pie with Hoegaarden ice cream and a "Croque Croque" chocolate cake. Orders must be placed by the Saturday before the holiday, with pickup on Wednesday.
