1) Alexandria: It's opening day for Waterfront Market and Cafe. Patch has some details: the new spot will serve lunch, dinner and brunch (on Facebook; their opening day photo shows a selection of sushi). There's room for about 150 seats, and pizza and sandwiches will be offered as well. It's all located within the Torpedo Factory arcade. 2) Cleveland Park: More French food returns to Cleveland Park with the opening of La Piquette. The owners tell Eater tonight will be the first evening of service for the place that replaced Le Zinc. The restaurant is owned by the same people as Bistrot Lepic, who are designing the new place to be more casual and trendy than their other restaurant.
