EVENT PLANNING— Clearly one fall Cocktail Week wasn't enough for the serious drinker. The Restaurant Industry Metropolitan Washington is launching its own Cocktail Week beginning Nov. 7. There's a Cocktail Week game board drinkers can use to navigate their adventures, and more than 50 restaurants and bars are offering drink deals. [EaterWire]
THOMAS CIRCLE— Zentan is adding $1 War Shore and Battle Creek oysters to its happy hour menu on Thursdays. They'll be available for $1 from 3-7 p.m. (the restaurant recycles the shells for environmental reasons, too). [EaterWire]
U STREET— Scott Drewno was the first, but he wasn't the last. G is planning to make guest sandwiches designed by other area chefs a monthly thing. Up next month: Nick Stefanelli of Bibiana. The restaurant has also extended its sandwich hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturdays (it's takeout only after 5). [EaterWire]
