The little glass-enclosed storefront outside the Angelika Theatre in Fairfax's Mosaic District has a temporary tenant. Dolcezza, which already has a gelato shop within the development, is operating a coffee shop for the next few months within the space.
Dolcezza in the Park opened in early December in the Glass Box, as they call it. Gelato offerings are limited to pints and push pops, but the shop carries several varieties of Stumptown coffee, pastries and more. The new shop has some interesting equipment to play with, including a Chemex for single origin coffees by the cup, a fetco brewer to brew the house blend, and a juicer for making orange juice (they also will offer hot chocolate and apple cider. On the pastry front, there are options from Bonaparte and cookies and scones made in-house.
