Bearnaise has expanded its menu offerings to include a wider selection of entree items (beyond their signature steak frites). New to the menu: some French bistro classic dishes, like a chicken palliard, pork chop Normandie duck leg confit and more. The restaurant's steak selections with unlimited fries remain, as well as mussels and several appetizers.

It's probably good timing for a refresh — the restaurant will soon face some competition in the steak frites department from Medium Rare, which will open a new location this winter on Capitol Hill. Spike Mendelsohn's French restaurant opened about six months ago.
