Bryan Voltaggio's Lunchbox closed late last month in Frederick. A Don Rockwell reader spotted the closure, and a rep for the restaurant has confirmed the lunch spot's last day of business was Nov. 23. From the restaurant's website:
Thank you for all of your patronage and support over the last two years, we have decided to close at this location. However you can still experience great food and hospitality at any of our other three locations, Volt, Family Meal and Range in Washington DC. We look forward to having you as our guest soon.
The rep said it was tough to generate enough foot traffic at the original Lunchbox. Another location of Lunchbox is planned for Chevy Chase, but no immediate update on that restaurant was available. Meanwhile, today is the one year anniversary of Voltaggio's Range.
