Bocce, Bowling, Bruschetta: Intel on Pinstripes

Pinstripes, the combination bowling alley and restaurant opening in Georgetown, has announced a January opening. Here are five things to expect form the concept, which has locations in such other places as Minneapolis and Illinois.

*The venue is located over two floors in the Shops at Georgetown Park, within 34,000 square feet of space.

*Entertainment-wise, there are 14 bowling lanes, six bocce courts, a bistro with a patio and outdoor fireplace, and a private events space.

*The food will skew Italian-American (here's the menu for its existing locations), with pastas, pizzas, small plates and larger entrees like chicken marsala and peanut-crusted Chilean sea bass.

*Live jazz music will be scheduled some evenings.

*They're hosting a community art contest with prizes in anticipation of the opening: most of the artwork in the venue will feature local artists.
