Pizza and Pasta On the Menu at Upcoming Arcuri

Brick oven pizza, antipasti and pasta will be on the menu when Arcuri opens in Glover Park at 2400 Wisconsin Ave. NW this spring.

The team is taking over the space Feb. 1 with the goal of opening in April. The restaurant, which replaces Kavanaugh's Pizza Pub, will have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a kids' menu and some gluten-free items.

Four local friends, all industry vets, are collaborating on the project: Adam Hiltebeitel, who grew up in Glover Park; Bryce Gerlach, who worked at Boulevard Woodgrill and Overwood; Richard Jones, a 2941 and Locanda Verde vet; and Joe Chapman of Austin Grill and Faccia Luna. Hiltebeitel is handling business operations, Champan is managing, Jones is the chef and Gerlach is the bar and cocktail guy.

The restaurant is named after Gerlach's great grandfather, an Italian native who came to America. There's a splash page for the restaurant online, but no additional details there.
