New 1905 Restaurant chef Joel Hatton hasn't even officially relaunched his brunch menu yet, and Eater readers are already excited about it.
"The new brunch menu @1905dc is sold. Chicken & waffles & the grits are no joke," Tweeted @BritLynster when the latest Eater Brunch Map came out earlier this week. "Awesome food and drinks," said @jimhollandfed1.
Hatton, a veteran of Shaw's Tavern & Leopold's Cafe, tested out his new brunch last , and will formally debut the new menu this Sunday. The chef, who started in late January, is a South Carolina native who is bringing more of a Southern influence to the menu. Dishes at brunch will include those aforementioned chicken and waffles, plus truffled grits and pork belly, an angus beef burger and more. Bottomless cocktails are priced at $15.
Hatton has also been shaking up the dinner menu at 1905, adding bar snacks and Mussels Night on Tuesday. A series of beer dinners, some featuring local brewers, will come soon.
