The Gryphon, Another Subway, Azur All Coming Soon

gryphon.jpg1) Dupont Circle: GoG has an update on The Gryphon, the sports bar moving into the former Heritage India space at 1337 Connecticut Ave. NW. The "upscale gastropub" is set to open March 2. There will be more than 30 televisions, a DJ booth, and chef Joseph Evans of Lost Society doing the cooking. [POST-PLYWOOD]

2) Penn Quarter: Azur, the seafood concept from Table's Frederik de Pue, is at the point of hiring staff for a spring opening, according to this craigslist ad. [PLYWOOD]

3) Capitol Riverfront: The Gordon Biersch opening near the ballpark now has the permits needed to install signage, WBJ reports. Opening is still a couple months away. [PLYWOOD]
