It appears that Chef Adam Sobel is leaving Bourbon Steak. Several of the city's major chefs Tweeted their congratulations from a going away party for the chef last night (as well as tales of epic hangovers and lack of sleep). A spokeswoman for the restaurant declined to comment on the matter, but industry sources confirm the move to Eater as well.
Though working under the Michael Mina flag at Bourbon Steak, Chef Adam Sobel distinguished himself in his own right at Bourbon Steak. The restaurant has been consistently among the city's most critically acclaimed destinations throughout Sobel's tenure, so he'll certainly be missed. Eater will update this post with any official word, or news of Sobel's next move.
