Washington D.C. Is High On Lyfe Kitchen's Priority List

Well, here's some confirmation that Art Smith's Lyfe Kitchen project is interested in D.C. QSR Magazine has some coverage of the company's second grand opening, and there, CEO Mike Roberts talked expansion plans — including Washington. From the article:

Roberts also announced to more than 100 new LYFE Kitchen restaurant employees and event guests...that LYFE Kitchen's first franchise agreement will be with Carey Cooper, who will expand the concept in Chicago. The brand is actively seeking additional corporate locations in Northern California and outstanding locations and talented franchisees nationwide, with a focus on Denver; New York City; Austin, Texas; Boston, and Washington, D.C.

Lyfe Kitchen focuses on dishes that are 600 calories or less (not unlike Energy Kitchen, which recently arrived here). Art & Soul's Art Smith is a consultant for the company's menu. Here's a look inside the Culver City location from Eater L.A.
