Diana Davila-Boldin Leaving Jackie's for Chicago

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Diana Davila-Boldin is leaving her position at Silver Spring neighborhood restaurant Jackie's. Owner Jackie Greenbaum confirmed the move to Eater today via email. "Diana has been an inspiration and we are sad to see her leave," she said. The restaurant is "looking for a new talent to usher in the next chapter for Jackie's."

The chef came to Jackie's back in 2010; she worked at Ardeo before that. The Chicago native is heading back to her hometown for family reasons, where she cooked in several restaurants before moving to DC. She doesn't have a restaurant job lined up yet, but will remain at Jackie's through March and will work there part-time in April.

Davila-Boldin presided over an eclectic menu at Jackie's, with dishes ranging from those influenced by her Mexican heritage to classic comfort food favorites. She also designed the menu at Columbia Heights hotspot El Chucho.
