Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

The National Gallery's Garden Cafe menu frequently changes with its exhibitions and Michel Richard is the latest chef to develop a menu for the museum.

Richard will coordinate the dining for Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes, 1909–1929: When Art Danced with Music; the exhibit begins May 7. The gallery describes the menu as a "modern spin on Russian and French bistro classics."

Chef Richard's buffet incorporates a variety of traditional Russian dishes with seasonal French ingredients, including Russian black bread, lentil salad, chilled borscht, blini with caviar, grilled eggplant, beef stroganoff, salmon coulbiac, and strawberries romanoff for dessert. Recipe cards for selected dishes will be offered to guests free of charge.

Right now, the Gallery is serving a Cathal Armstrong-inspired menu in conjunction with its Pre-Raphaelite exhibit.
