For its Burger Week special, H &pizza is marrying two of the country's most iconic foods: cheeseburgers and pizza.
The creation comes from chef Matt Cordes of The Atlas Room. Basically, he's deconstructed a bacon cheeseburger and fashioned it into a pizza. The base consists of housemade spicy tomato ketchup. Add provolone and mozzarella, mini hamburger patties, smoked bacon, roasted moonstruck mushrooms and caramelized onions. After the pizza is cooked, the patties themselves are topped with sharp cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, pickles, romaine lettuce, spicy mayo and crunchy potato sticks (because what's a burger without fries?).
Customers can even fold the pizza so that it takes on more of a shape of a burger. Give it a try this week for $10.
