The Ashby Inn, a favorite road trip restaurant destination among D.C. diners, is expanding its kitchen.
The Virginia-centric restaurant, led by chef Tarver King and sous chef Nathan Shapiro, is nearly doubling the size of its kitchen, according to reservations manager Sarah Storer. During the process, they've also decided to paint the dining room and make other cosmetic improvements to the restaurant. Currently, the Main Inn and the dining room are closed during the renovations work, though there are still some suites on the property available.
The plan is to reopen the restaurant May 1. The Ashby Inn is located in Paris, Virginia but like The Inn at Little Washington, has a major client base in D.C., and has been recognized with Rammy nominations the past couple of years.
