Logan Circle's The Pig has lined up a new chef. It's Michael Bonk, a veteran of such kitchens as Sonoma and The Queen Vic. Bonk's a former finance guy whose second career has been working as a chef.
The Pig will continue its pork-centric focus under Bonk, who wants to give the menu a bit more of an international flair. The restaurant will continue to collaborate with parent company's Eatwell Natural Farm.
The Pig lost opening chef Garret Fleming recently — Fleming is striking out on his own with a new concept, which will be a gastropub that emphasizes foraged ingredients, opening later this fall. Eater has reached out to The Queen Vic to see what's in store now that Bonk has left.
