Usually a restaurant experience focuses on the food, with wines being paired to complement the vision of the chef. At Brabo's new Sommelier's Table, they're reversing the process.
Under the new program, up to eight people can experience the Sommelier's Table at once. It's similar to a chef's table, with sommelier Matthew Carroll starring in the show. Carroll shares in-depth details about the chosen wines with the guests, and gives some history in the process. The dishes are picked after the wines are chosen to highlight the flavors of the beverages.
Brabo is kicking off the Sommelier's Table with a series of three theme nights, priced between $130 and $150 per person. The first on May 8 will focus on Bordeaux, while later events will highlight Spanish wines and iconic U.S. wines.
