The Early Word on Blackfinn's New Ameripub Concept

Bar chain Blackfinn opened up its second Ameripub concept in the country near D.C. a few weeks ago. The Blackfinn Ameripub in Merrifield has a bigger menu, wider beer selection and different footprint than the traditional Blackfinn restaurants. What's the early reception to the pub? The Friendly Service News: Blackfinn is currently earning 3 Stars on Yelp, with 14 reviews in. The bar and restaurant also has been responding directly to both positive and negative feedback on the site. One review comes from Kim H., who says, "I've been to Blackfinn about 4 times and I can't find one bad thing to say...If you can snag a booth in the bar area, you are golden! The service, at least in my experience, has always exceeded expectations. We have never had an empty drink and the servers come by to check on you often.... always with a smile on their faces." The Bad Service Counterpoint: Brett L. says, "Our first visit was pretty much a disaster...The food took forever to come. Our waiter, the manager and general manager kept apologizing, but still the food was nowhere to be seen. We had to ask five times for an extra napkin...When the food finally did arrive after 1+ hour, it was cold.
