Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

FALLS CHURCH— From barbacoa to BLT tacos, there are plenty of things to drool over on Taco Bamba's menu, which was recently posted on its website. There is still no official opening date for the restaurant from Victor Albisu. [Official Site]

NATIONAL HARBORNational Harbor's sixth food and wine festival is this coming weekend. Look for more than 150 all-you-can-drink alcoholic selections, a biergarten, live jazz and more, May 4 and 5. [EaterWire]

LOGAN CIRCLE— May at Birch & Barley/Churchkey means May-Ham. That means a month-long tribute to cored pork products. Look for a $22 cured ham board and lots of heavy metal music in the background. [EaterWire]

COURTHOUSEBayou Bakery is holding a crawfish eating contest Friday at 6 p.m. Twelve competitors will eat as many crustaceans as they can in 60 seconds to win concert tickets and bragging rights. There will also be a crawfish boil for the rest of the restaurant guests, with abita beer and lots of seafood. [EaterWire]
