ZOMG Cheesesteaks: Steak & Ice Plans Taylor Takeover

Come next week, cheesesteaks will be everywhere. Or at least at several Taylor Gourmet locations.

Taylor Charles Steak & Ice is partnering with its sister restaurant to bring cheesesteaks to its hoagie restaurants for four days after Memorial Day weekend. Beginning at 11 a.m. from May 28-31, 50 cheesesteaks will be available until they run out. Get them while they're hot — customers who order the sandwiches get a free small Italian water ice, too. Here's the schedule:

May 28: Penn Quarter (624 E St. NW)
May 29: Dupont Circle (1200 19th St NW)
May 30: 14th Street (1908 14th St. NW)
May 31: City Vista (485 K St. NW)

Co-owner Casey Patten plans to visit each restaurant to make the cheesesteaks each day. Steak & Ice also plans to offer free water ices to customers who buy a sandwich or salad anytime the weather goes beyond 90 degrees this summer — a consolation prize for those dealing with the awful D.C. heat.
