Chef Amy Brandwein Now Cooking for Italian Embassy

Longtime D.C. area chef Amy Brandwein has a new project. The chef is working as a consulting chef for the Italian Embassy in partnership with distributor EuroGourmet

"I am creating new menus for the Embassy's cafe restaurant and also cooking at private events at the Embassy and off site as well," the chef told Eater. "It has been a great gig so far and I am getting my Italian back."

Brandwein is familiar to D.C. diners due to her work at such restaurants as Galileo, Bebo Trattoria and Fyve Restaurant & Lounge. She was the chef for Dupont Circle's Casa Nonna, which closed about a year ago. After that, she launched her own consulting group, Chef AmyB.
