Daniel Boulud Appears to be Bound for CityCenter (Updated)

Could celebrity chef Daniel Boulud be coming to D.C.? The Wall Street Journal says it's happening. From an article on D.C.'s booming real estate market:

In the area's more-affluent neighborhoods, luxury-condo developers from around the country are arriving in droves. Houston-based Hines is developing CityCenterDC, a 10-acre development downtown with 216 high-end condos and more than 60 shops and restaurants, including one from three-star Michelin chef Daniel Boulud.

Hines has been keeping relatively quiet about what restaurants are opening at CityCenter, the large development in the former Convention Center location, though Del Frisco's is expected to open there. Boulud has been rumored for the space before. Boulud is behind such renowned restaurants as Bar Boulud and Daniel.

Update: According to a spokeswoman for Boulud, "While we are in negotiations to open a restaurant in the CityCenter, a deal has not yet been signed." She would not say what concept the chef is considering for the development. A spokesperson for Hines declined to comment, saying they do not speak about deals that aren't final.
